- The bizarre incident took place in Colorado Springs on Monday afternoon at around 12:30 p.m. According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, an older white man threatened to use a weapon while holding up the bank and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
- Witnesses told CBS-affiliate KKTV that the man "threw money all over the place" and said "Merry Christmas!" after fleeing the bank.
- Police identified the suspect as 65-year-old David Wayne Oliver, who was taken into custody without incident.
