Hope Hicks reportedly admits to telling 'white lies' for Trump

  • White House communications director Hope Hicks acknowledged that she has told "white lies" on behalf of President Donald Trump.
  • Hicks made those comments during a Tuesday interview with lawmakers on the House Intelligence Committee, CNN and The New York Times reported.
  • Citing their own unnamed sources, both news outlets said Hicks insisted that she has not lied about matters related to the Russia investigation.

White House communications director Hope Hicks admitted to telling "white lies" on behalf of Donald Trump, on some occasions.

Hicks, who appeared before US lawmakers on the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday, insisted that she had not told falsehoods in her comments about the Russia investigation or the possible involvement of Trump campaign officials in Russia's 2016 US-election meddling.
