- A TikToker said she spotted "five, six mice" in the dining room of a restaurant in Baltimore.
- "Don't go, y'all, don't go," she urged her followers.
- The city's health department then temporarily closed the restaurant because of a "rodent infestation."
A restaurant in Baltimore was temporarily closed by the city's health department after a TikTok showing rodents running round went viral.
TikToker Chloe Lynn, who runs the channel @chloelynneats, documented her trip to Blackwall Hitch in a video last week. "Within 10 minutes of sitting down, I saw like five, six mice," she said in the voiceover, accompanied by footage of mice crawling round under the dining tables.
"Don't go, y'all, don't go," Lynn told her followers.
The caption on the video reads: "'hey siri: call the health department it's giving infestation."
While most of Lynn's videos have a few thousand views, this one has racked up more than 150,000 so far.
Blackwall Hitch, which specializes in seafood, has an average 4.0 star rating on TripAdvisor, based on 44 reviews.
None of the descriptions mention rats, mice, or rodents, and people have commented on the video saying that while they didn't spot any rodents on their previous visits, they would avoid going there in the future.
Baltimore City Health Department said that the restaurant had been shut down on Thursday because of a "rodent infestation" and needed to correct the violations and pass a reinspection to reopen. According to a page on the department's website, the restaurant was approved to reopen the next day.
Blackwall Hitch did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment, made outside of regular working hours.
